Core point: an exit rule is not a guarantee
Event contracts can move quickly and can lose value, including the full amount put at risk. A future exit-only plan would be a user-selected instruction to attempt a reduce-only sell; it would not remove market risk.
An order could be delayed, rejected, partially filled, unfilled, or filled at a less favorable price. The price used by an exit rule could be different by the time an order reaches a market.
Before considering real-money functionality
- Confirm that you understand the market and the contract’s payout conditions.
- Review the position side, contract quantity, hard stop, and take-profit rule independently.
- Consider whether a sudden price move, limited liquidity, fees, or a partial fill would be acceptable to you.
- Keep access to your market account so you can independently monitor and manage a position.
- Obtain independent guidance if you do not understand a market, API permission, or order type.
Public preview limits
The public preview is an exit-only workflow demonstration. It does not choose a trade, create a buy, transfer, deposit, withdrawal, account connection, or order.
It does not operate another person’s account or make discretionary decisions. Sample positions and results are illustrative and are not market information or an execution record.
Credential safety
The public preview does not ask for a Kalshi API key or private key. Do not paste a private key, API key, password, or payment information into a chat, screenshot, or form that does not clearly require it.
Any future credential-handling design would need independent security review, a managed secret system, clear revocation controls, and a final privacy notice before it could be offered for real-money activity.
You make the decision
You choose whether to use the public preview and whether any future product would be appropriate for you. No outcome, profit, loss avoidance, uptime, price, fill, or future release is guaranteed.
Practice-mode visuals do not create a market position or an obligation to use a future plan.
Before broader release
A real-money version should be reviewed for applicable market-provider approvals, user eligibility, consumer and financial-risk disclosures, support and escalation practices, security controls, and its actual technical operation. This draft does not claim that such reviews or approvals have occurred.
